Tiger Safari Tours India

Wild Encounters, Real Thrills

Get set to escape to the most remarkable Jungles of India, spot the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger amidst spectacular landscapes, scenic water streams and dense foliage. Your quest to spot the wildcat in its natural habitat will be well met in the enchanting forests that spread across the length and breadth of the country. India has found remarkable success with its Save the Tiger Project and the wild cat community has grown & has the largest tiger population in the world. Today many of the Reserves have become popular safari parks with travelers coming from across the globe to catch the glimpse of the ferocious tiger in the wild.

Tigers are surely the showstopper of the park but there’s so much in the Indian jungles, capture other exciting wild animals like leopards, elephants, sambar, deer, gaur, wild dogs and several species of birds at the diverse national parks of India. And while waiting to spot any animal do take a few moments to adore the beauty and splendor of the Forests.

The different types of safaris offer unique experience in different terrains and National parks and you must pick by your preference. Jeep safaris are the most preferred and convenient choice as it takes you to far corners of the jungles and has about 6 people seated. The canter – open bus carries about 20 tourists and that lets you enjoy the tour with a group. Some National parks offer boat and elephant safari to add thrill to your experience in the woods.

Most national Reserves are open for tourism from October to June. Winter months are cooler to explore the terrains, however summer months February to May offer higher chances of spotting the tigers as they come out of the dense areas looking for water.

Almost all National parks are closed between July to September, some re-open even later in Mid Oct or early November.

Every park is divided into Core and Buffer Zones. The core areas are one with dense forests and high animal density with no human activity. You must aim to tour these zones for better sighting chances. The buffer zones are more like a barrier between the wild and humans and the density of animals is low but can offer peaceful safari as against the crowded core zones.

A stay in the jungle is a must to experience the dark nights in the woods. The roar of the tiger, soft winds, chirping of the birds and dazzling sky make it an exhilarating experience to spend a night at the luxurious jungle resorts.
