Over 400 thousand people attend the week-long Dussehra festival, also known as the International Mega Dussehra, at the magnificent home of Kullu. The local king in the 17th century installed an idol of Lord Raghunath to eradicate a curse carried from Lord Rama’s kingdom. This statue is now designed on a chariot on the first day of the festival, and is carried to different sites across Dhalpur Maidan. Followed by devotion, and dance and music.
