Further in Jaipur the royal forts and palaces give an insight to an important era. Agra takes you to the epitome of love Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Feel blessed to visit the birthplace of India’s beloved god Lord Krishna at Mathura followed by the equally important place Gokul. 

In between enjoy the hospitality of Indian railways as you board a train from Jhansi. Have a extra-ordinary experience as you get to visit Khajuraho best known for its group of temples which display great craftsmanship through its architecture. As you halt in the holy city Varanasi, discover the Hindu customs at the various Ghats and have a soul touching experience as you participate in the Ganga Aarti. Once in Mumbai, click pictures by the Gateway of India which stands beautifully by the sea. Go back in time as you walk in the massive and excellently done Ajanta and Ellora caves in Aurangabad. Nasik lets you pray at one of the important Shiva temples at Trimbakeshwar.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Delhi

Airport pickup and private transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities.

Day 2 - Delhi

Start your day by visiting the charms of Delhi. Explore the iconic places like Red Fort, Raj Ghat and the historical Jama Masjid. Later visit the Mughal wonders Humayum’s tomb and Qutub Minar. Enjoy the glimpses of Rajpath, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House.


Bespoke Old Delhi Food Tour

In the evening go for Resplendent Travel’s Signature food walk through the street food lane of Old Delhi with a local expert sampling the different food items.

Optionally visit the National Museum & National Gallery of Modern Art.

Day 3 - Jaipur

Post breakfast drive to Jaipur (5 HRS) As you reach the hotel, rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 4 - Jaipur

The pink city is popular for Royal architecture, ancient traditions and vibrant markets. Visit the magnificent Amber Fort, uniquely done Hawa Mahal, astronomical observatory – Jantar Mantar and City palace. Have a blissful experience at the white marble beauty – Laxmi Narayan Temple. 

Day 5 - Agra

Drive to Agra (4.5 HRS) Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri to explore the wonderful architecture of the Mughal era. Overnight stay at Agra.

Day 6 - Agra

Explore the wonder of the world – Taj Mahal, a grand structure that leaves you spellbound. Later reach atop of Agra Fort and visit Itmad-ud-Daula’s tomb often referred as Baby Taj for being inspired by the main monument.

Day 7 - Mathura

Head to Mathura (1.5 HRS) the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Considered as a sacred place, pilgrims flock here to visit the ancient Dwarkadhish temple to worship Shri Krishna. Later reach Vrindavan to explore the Shri Banke Bihari Mandir which is a holy place to pay respect to lord Krishna. Pay your respect at ISKON temple and enjoy an overnight stay at Mathura. 

Day 8 - Agra | Enroute Gokul

Leave for Agra (4.5 HRS) and enroute visit Gokul and pay respect at Gokulnathji temple which is popular for Mansi Ganga. As per legends Lord Krishna got the river to this place to fulfil his mother’s desire to bathe in it. Visit the holy Mount Govardhan.

Day 9 - Jhansi

Enjoy a train ride to Jhansi. After you reach Jhansi, the historical city, drive to Khajuraho (3 HRS). Enroute visit Orchha, a beautiful town to explore stunning temples, monuments and palaces. Visit Laxmi Narayan Temple, Raj Mahal and Jahangiri Mahal. Reach Khajuraho for overnight stay.

Day 10 - Khajuraho

Visit the Khajuraho temples ( UNESCO World Heritage Site) for spectacular eastern and western groups of temples. The popular temples include Devi Jagdamba, Kandariya Mahadev, Laxmi and Varha amongst others. Overnight train journey.

Day 11 - Varanasi

As you arrive in Varanasi, private transfer to hotel. Later visit the important temples in the holy town. In the evening see the ghats come alive with Ganga Aarti where chanting, ringing of bells and diyas create the most sacred ambience.

Day 12 - Varanasi

Take an early morning boat ride to watch the many ghats perform various rituals. A perfect place to study Hinduism and its traditions. Later tour an important Buddha pilgrimage site Sarnath. Also visit Beni Madhav Ka Derera which was an ancient Vishnu temple turned into a mosque. Explore the important Dasaswamedh Ghat and Bharat Mata Temple.

Day 13 - Mumbai

Board a flight to the city of dreams Mumbai. After you rest at the hotel, step out to visit significant places like Gateway of India by the sea, popular SiddhiVinayak temple, Prince of Wales Museum and end the day with a stroll at the Juhu Beach.

Day 14 - Aurangabad

Take a flight to Aurangabad. On arrival private transfer to the hotel. Later visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ajanta Caves. The rock cut Buddhist caves are an architectural marvel adorned with impressive sculptures and paintings.

Day 15 - Aurangabad

Explore Ellora Caves which is another architectural masterpiece and home to many Jain and Buddhist caves. Discover the historical Daulatabad Fort.

Day 16 - Nasik

Drive to Nasik (3 HRS) Pay visit to Trimbakeshwar, an important pilgrimage site of Lord Shiva. Check out the ancient craftsmanship by visiting the impressive Pandava Caves.

Day 17 - Nasik Mumbai

Post breakfast board a flight to Mumbai for your forward journey back home with sweet memories.
